YOUR LIFE YOUR TIME SKILLS DEVELOPMENT:

Before this course I had little to no skills in Photography or writing articles and no skills in Photoshop or InDesign. are the various skills I have gained on this course. I have used lots of techniques in different areas such as Photoshop, InDesign, Photography, Language and Writing skills.

IN DESIGN:
On in Design, I learnt to set-up the page, making sure that my DPS was the same size as the front cover which I was making on Photoshop. In the setup, I placed in the margins which spaces out the content so that it is in line which produces a professional, neat looking magazine layout. I also used the rulers to create lines that persuade the reader to look at the text e.g. putting the text in line with the eye line of the subject in the photo.

PHOTOSHOP: I had no knowledge of Photoshop before this course. I learnt straight away that there are lots of tools that you can use and that it can be quiet difficult. I learnt how to set up a document at the right size for an A4 sized magazine, a card (birthdays, Christmas etc.) and a CD cover.

PHOTOGRAPHY SKILLS: Before this course I had little knowledge on cameras. I had used self timer on a camera before but that was about it. I had helped my friends with a few experiments with light where we used an old camera with film and changed the shutter speed so that we could write with a torch and create ghost like figures. We also created some really good quality photos by shining the torches on on the subjects in the pitch black with a long shutter speed. Here are the results below. Apart form this I had not much knowledge of a proffesional quality camera.
